Did Goliath of the Bible Suffer From Gigantism?

The story of David and Goliath in the Bible is probably one of the most well-known and frequently told stories of the Old Testament. The people of Israel were afraid of Goliath and no one would fight them. Meanwhile, he kept taunting Saul, the king of Israel, and his men, chasing them against him.

The name of the teenage boy David put his fears aside and was armed with only a pile of rocks and slings, challenging Goliath by saying "I come against you in the name of Almighty God." With poor eyesight and no peripheral vision, David could easily get close enough to Goliath to turn a deadly shot.
