Why Consuming Healthy Fat to Gain Muscle Weight is Essential If You Want to Get Big Quickly

Bad fats, good protein, right? This is a common myth that bodybuilders believe in their earliest days. When we look at a food pyramid that shows a balanced diet, fat occupies the smallest end of the pyramid, which means that fat must be consumed in small quantities.

But fat also occupies the tip of the pyramid, which means it's important too. While we want to gain muscle mass, the fat that is completely eliminated from your diet will not be productive because fat actually plays an important role in gaining healthy muscle weight.

Fat plays two important roles in muscle building. First, it acts as a solvent for minerals and vitamins. Without dissolving the fat in the body, the essential vitamins and minerals that are essential for muscle growth will not be transported to the most needed place.

Second, fat is important in keeping the hormone-producing gland active. Many of these hormones are important in stimulating muscle growth. A good example is testosterone which is a major growth hormone in the body.

Can you imagine how low testosterone would be to the bodybuilder? However, only a small amount of fat is needed for these two important roles, so it's important to take fat in your diet. Some types of fat also benefit the body in different ways when taken in moderation.

Unsaturated fat

Saturated fats are the most dangerous when taken in bulk. Unfortunately, they also taste the best for most people. Think of your fast food, fried chicken, and deep fried tempura and so on.

Fat forms bad cholesterol levels, which can cause serious health problems. Saturated fats, however, are important in small quantities as they stimulate the production of growth hormones in the body for more muscle growth to occur. Saturated fat can be found mainly in animal fat, cheese, butter, pork fat, ice cream and so on.

Acid Fat Acid

These are known as essential fatty acids because they cannot be produced by the body, and we must carry them through our diet. Essential fatty acids actually increase our good cholesterol and maintain a good balance in the body.

The most famous and useful of these essential fatty acids is omega-3 fatty acids fish oil, which is essential for tissue repair in the body. This includes muscle repair and muscle tissue as well.

Omega-3 fatty acids are found in salmon, cod fish and many more Nordic fish. Other forms of essential fatty acids that are also essential to the body's system are found in seed-based oils such as sunflower seeds and hemp oil.

Single unsaturated fats

The last type of fat is single fat, which has a positive effect on your cholesterol level. Sources include most vegetables and nuts such as almonds, peas, nuts, olive oil, canola oil and avocado.

The term fat is a taboo term in muscle building and the bodybuilding world. However, fat is also important in our diet. When taken in the right form, the benefits of weight gain and muscle growth are enormous.
