Hi everyone, I want to start with the question ... What do we put into our bodies? Our daily goal is to eat foods that will help keep our body and health at its optimum. With this in mind, here are seven rules for healthy living that I want to learn:
1. The First Rule of Healthy Living - Drink Water Before and After Your Food, Not During. Drinking ahead of time will fill you up, and prevent you from eating too much. In addition, refraining from drinking water will give you the opportunity to breathe properly, aiding in digestion. Have water 30 minutes before you eat and separate your food from any fluid intake by at least 10 - ideally 30 minutes.
2. Second Rule for Healthy Living - Properly Incorporating Your Food. To ensure the best digestion of nutrients, we must know how to combine our food effectively. Choosing not to combine your diet wisely will create tension in your digestive system. The consequences include: Weight Loss. Food is stopped from being converted to nutrients, thus sacrificing the benefits of amino acids, vitamins, and minerals from what we eat. Toxic toxins. These toxins damage our cells and tissues and our organs. Food allergies. People often ignore the discomfort after eating as a food allergy, when what they actually experience is a bad combination. More Serious Diseases. Improper combinations for long periods of time can put the body at risk and cause problems for intruders.
3. Third Rule for Healthy Living - Eat in a Relaxing State. Eliminate all distractions, including television, mobile (text), and the internet. Maintaining a calm state of eating should be a quiet time to enjoy and appreciate the food and company before you. Make everyone comfortable and comfortable while keeping the table organized with the appropriate plates and appliances. Chew your food slowly, taking small bites.
4. Fourth Method for Healthy Living - Eating Total Food Comfort. America has a taste of porcelain size. The size of a typical meal at a restaurant is not the right amount - half the portion will usually be served. Or if you cook too much for dinner, save another for lunch the next day.
5. Fifth Rule for Healthy Living - Organic Foods. Consistently eat foods that are free of modern pesticides, antibiotics or growth hormones. Products labeled as "organic" have been approved by the USDA, which ensures that farms meet government standards (including promoting renewable sources). While it may have been difficult in the past to buy organic products, they are now available in every local grocery store. It's best to have Whole, Henry, Wild Oats, Trader Joe's, or smaller organic chains near you.
6. Sixth Way to a Healthy Living - All the Time: Eat Small amounts every 3 hours.
7. Seventh Rule for Healthy Living - Increase Your Diet Supplements As Needed.
Some Additional Things to Consider. According to the American Dietetic Society, this is the right size of meal:
1. One cup of pasta is the size of a tennis ball.
2. One half cup of vegetables is the size of a light bulb.
3. Small toasted potatoes are the size of a computer mouse.
Proper digestion is impaired by the use of herbs, vinegar, alcohol, tobacco, soft drinks, tea, coffee, and ice drinks.
I know the Seven Ways to Live a Healthy Life may be beyond the confidence of many of us (including me), but I challenge you to apply this rule to a healthier and healthier life.
