Is Milk Really Healthy?

Apparently, there is some inaccurate information about milk that is detrimental to health. It has received a lot of controversy over claims that it carries the growth hormone that cattle traditionally grow in their milk. This has led to changes in the consumption of dairy and human restrictions in enjoying the important health benefits of this nutritious beverage.

Dairy produced with conventional agriculture is found to carry elements that can increase the risk of cancer and other health problems. There is even debate over whether or not milk pasteurization is better than milk not pasteurized. Some speculation has been dispelled but there is one more thing. It's very healthy.

Milk contains a good balance of protein, fat and carbohydrates and nutrients such as calcium, riboflavin, phosphorus, Vitamins A, D, and B12, pantothenic acid. It contains high quality protein which is very beneficial to people undergoing physical training.

The question is about the source of milk and how it is processed. While it is true that dairy cows today are given growth hormones that may increase milk production, they are likely to deliver some of the harmful elements such as milk growth hormones. Therefore to enjoy the health benefits of milk, it is best to buy organic milk if you do not grow your own cows for fresh and chemical-free milk. Nowadays milk pasteurization is still safe to extract from unsaturated milk. This is because it kills all forms of infections and pathogens that cause diseases that carry fresh milk. Drinking milk is not a risk you may take.
