Let's talk about how interval training works and how this cardio exercise routine is better than losing fat. Well, I think it resembles better to set up for fat loss. I'll explain what I mean in a minute.
This topic can be very stressful and scientific, but I try to maintain limited jargon and not be a mad scientist to you!
First we need to talk about high intensity training exercises:
We talk about the kind of circuit training that consists of very high intensity work that is coordinated with moderate level training in regular training intervals. For example, a set of jump jacks that you can do for about sixty seconds and then lightweight jogging for twenty seconds of repeated repetition for 15-20 minutes would be a kind of interval training. There are lots of exercises that work great; think of gym class 7. Jogging & sprinting, thrip jumps (burpees) and lungs, vertical jumps and push-ups, the list goes on and is only limited by your own mind.
Why do you have to do that?
It's a very quick way to get your heart rate up and burn some calories in no time for one reason. When you only have a few minutes to do your workouts, this type of exercise plan will set up your body to burn calories as you go about your day. For example, if you train for 15 minutes before you're ready for work then you will be promoting your body to burn more calories throughout the morning.
Your oxygen muscles do the work and keep you moving. Exercise is high intensity exercise using all the available oxygen and your body is trying to get enough oxygen to grow the muscles. Heart rate, increases to the speed of blood to get oxygen to your body. This is an anaerobic process called oxygen debt.
Oxygen burns when making intervals at high intensities, breathing becomes faster to improve the system. Doing work during this anaerobic condition helps burn larger calories. This in turn helps to lose weight.
What about lactic acid?
This is where it's hard not to be a mad scientist. Perhaps a brief description of lactic acid is to help the body burn calories. That may be easier but I don't want you to be a deer in the light ... or bored!
The interesting thing is that the same process that causes oxygen debt can also produce lactic acid. Therefore, when you exercise in a way that results in great effort, lactic acid accumulates in the muscles until your system flows. More calories are burned when building up lactic acid.
Weight loss from burning more calories.
Exercise interval causes the situation to burn more calories. As I said, more calories are needed to get rid of lactic acid, but the other reason is because of the process of producing human growth hormone (HGH). When HGH has an advantage in the body, it is better to grow muscles and also burn more calories.
In my exercise routine, I do some high intensity training exercises before doing any weight lifting or cardio. HITT has been shown to improve cardio fitness and improve distance or speed statistics.
