Does sprint really increase your height? And if so, how much higher are you than running?
What are the different forms of running?
I used to sprint with a lot of people and what I found was that not everyone understood the same thing. From my experience, there are three basic understandings of running:
- Running short distances is very fast, but only once.
- Running short distances is fast, takes 5 to 10 minutes, and then does it again.
- Do the interval training.
In other words, when I ask a friend if she wants to run with me, she'll take one of the three variations above. To me personally, running is a number two variation. It's like weight training where you do very intensive sets and repeat them over and over to improve performance.
It's important to know that the number two variant is also the type of sprinting where you get the most benefit from increasing your height. If you can do the number two exercise from the list several times a week, then running really can help you get better.
Why does the sprint rise?
Obviously, don't just take my word for it when I say run up and down. So let me give you a brief explanation of the science behind all this. To get higher after puberty, you need to achieve the following:
- Extend your limbs, either your legs or your spinal column (preferably both).
- Stimulating your body naturally releases more growth hormones.
As you might imagine, refugees help you with both of the criteria listed above. When running, you need to push your body off the ground very hard and you also need to pull your knees a little further to maintain speed. In other words, you take a long step. These long steps are a form of stretching for your feet.
At this point it is important for you to understand that there is no way to extend your actual spine after puberty. As an adult, you have solid bones that cannot be changed unless you have surgery. However, between our ankles, we have little space. By stretching your legs, you can actually use this space and extend your legs a little.
Finally, all kinds of intense workouts stimulate your body to release more growth hormones. Sprinting is a classic exercise for this purpose and can increase the amount of growth hormone your pituitary gland releases into the system.
Is there something missing?
As you can see, the two-step training variation is really the best sprint exercise to increase your height. Number one can hardly help because it's too short. And number three will help a lot by producing more growth hormones; However, it is not very good with really stretching and thus extending your legs.
Most importantly though, the sprint is just part of the bigger picture: If you combine regular runs as described above with other stretching exercises, you can easily increase your height by 2-4 inches in just 2 months.
