Detoxification Part XVI - Causes, Prevention and Treatment

I. Introduction
The American diet contains high levels of saturated fat, trans fats, and other harmful substances such as sugar, caffeine, pesticides, addictive substances, and many others and is low in fruits and vegetables. These types of harmful substances are toxins. Our body's detoxifying functions try to eliminate it every day, when they fail to cause hormone production, damage our body's detoxifying organs and weaken our immune system, resulting in hormone imbalance and many chronic illnesses.

II. Cause
A. Internal Causes
1. Excessive red meat
Our animals are grown in crowded environments and fed by growth hormones for maximum benefit. No matter how limited the government rules, this growth hormone trail remains intact in the body of animals causing more harm than good. While our bodies need protein and fat to function daily, red meat overdoses cause cholesterol build up in the arteries, triglycerides in the bloodstream, and high blood pressure resulting in heart disease and chronic disease.

2. Excess sugar
Carbohydrates are important for the functioning of our liver and kidneys, excess sugar in the American diet causes insulin resistance, damages the pancreas, reduces blood circulation and causes hormone imbalance.

3. Drink too much
Our social life is a mess. We drank too much. Because alcohol is a stimulant, moderate drinking helps improve blood circulation and increases mental alertness. Drinking too much lowers brain function, damages our liver, reduces immune system function and causes inflammation.

4. Artificial agents
Artificial agents can aid in food loss and make it look good, but it's toxic to our body. These agents stimulate appetite by directly affecting the brain starvation center which causes you to eat more and cause obesity.

Fruits and vegetables are high in nutrients which are essential for our daily functioning. Vitamins C, E, K and other chemicals in fruits and vegetables such as alpha carotene, beta carotene, selenium, chlorophyll, and amino acids are powerful antioxidants that not only help boost the body's metabolism, but also help in strengthening our immune system. to fight the formation of free radicals and to protect our bodies by fighting inflammation caused by bacteria and viruses.

Yes, this is the air we breathe today. Every breath we experience, our bodies are required to detoxify all harmful substances that enter our body. If you have a weak immune system, some of these harmful substances cannot be removed from our body which results in heavy metal accumulation and disrupts the normal functioning of the organs causing inflammation and infection.

2. Soil Pollution
Land pollution is caused by poor use of land in poor agricultural practices, mineral exploitation, industrial dumping, and urban waste disposal. The types of waste that accumulate in our soil include herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals and man-made substances that enter our bodies through rain, snow and food. If our bodies cannot get rid of them long term accumulation of these harmful substances will result in weakened immune system and chronic diseases.

Approximately 90% of wastewater is discharged directly to rivers and streams without treatment. There are many sources of water pollution such as unplanned landfills, roadside salts and hazardous waste sites that result in heavy metals and harmful chemicals entering our daily drinking water.
