Estrogen - Is This Natural Hormone Slowly Killing Us?

Too much estrogen is a major problem for women and men and too many people have too much. Excess estrogen can accelerate aging, worsen prostate health, increase body fat and muscle atrophy, increase hair loss and cause sexual dysfunction. Women with excess non-metabolic estrogen are at higher risk for breast and uterine cancer, obesity and low sex drive.

In both men and women, fat cells contain large amounts of aromatase, an estrogen-producing enzyme. The higher your body fat percentage, the more estrogen you produce. This causes you to make more fat cells, which in turn produces more estrogen! This cycle can be out of control.

In men, aromatase signals the pituitary gland and testis to produce less luteinizing hormone (LH), thereby slowing down the production of testosterone. High levels of estrogen increase the production of a protein called Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG), which competes with testosterone receptor sites, literally causing testosterone to die. Estrogen also causes the liver to produce more testosterone-binding carriers. Free, hormone-free testosterone is the only active form that can cross the brain, muscles, sex organs, and fat cells.

Testosterone deficit

Free testosterone contains only a small portion of total testosterone in men and women. Low levels of free testosterone in men increase body fat, reduce sex drive and can cause depression and erectile dysfunction. This is also a vicious cycle. Men have less energy and lower self-esteem. They can then be stressed, eat more, gain weight and have less sexual interest.

Early symptoms of aging in men, are called Andropause. Excess estrogen levels have been identified as the leading cause!

Surplus signal 'estrogen' increased SHBG production, resulting in further reduction in free testosterone. Excess estrogen in men is associated with obesity, excessive alcohol consumption, smoking, lack of exercise and from exposure to non-bio-identical estrogen in the environment. Pesticides create bad forms of estrogen, concentrated in meat and dairy.

Bisophenol-A doses of emitted plastics, coating for food and beverage containers, plastic baby bottles (safe glass only) dissolve in water and human blood causing estrogen-like insulin resistance. Whether it's a high-fat diet according to Nathan Pritikin, one of the great researchers of the 20th century who worked with me from 1979 to 81 or a small amount of plastic chemicals (generally considered safe by EPA standards) that triggered allergic reactions, inflammation, and diabetes. to Theron Randolph MD., author of Alternative Approaches to Allergy. This increase in synthetic estrogen has been shown to cause harmful changes in pancreatic cancer-related pancreatic cells. Diabetes has increased dramatically in our country and around the world. Diabetics are tragically at increased risk of stroke, heart attack, impotence, and amputated limbs.

Some studies show that hair loss and baldness may be associated with a high fat diet. High fat diets stimulate estrone, which is converted to bad estrogen. DHT (Di-hydroxytestosterone) can cause hair loss. However, testosterone can actually help or boost your hair, provided that estrogen levels are good. DHT should comprise one quarter to one third of total androgen.

Excess estrogen blockers accept the testosterone and DHT receptors to be dominant. Fat tissue is loaded with an aromatase enzyme that converts testosterone into estrogen. The best way to combat estrogen dominance in men and women is to exercise, improve their diet and take nutritional supplements that reduce estrogen production.

Losing body fat reduces estrogen conversion. In men, the symptoms of andropause decreased, and in women, the dominant dominant symptoms decreased.

Men - Reduce Your Estrogen

More than half of all men over the age of 50 have enlarged the prostate. Early symptoms include dizziness in the urine, increased frequency, dribbling and decreased power and flow of urine. An untreated prostate can not cause sexual dysfunction and impotence.

A University of California study found that impotence is caused by high estrogen. Another study elsewhere with 320 men who had been surgically treated for an enlarged prostate revealed higher estrogen levels and lower testosterone, than men with normal prostate.

In a Japanese study, men without prostate enlargement had higher testosterone levels! In addition, men with enlarged prostate have higher estrogen levels. The scientists in this study concluded that estrogen-free estrogen correlated with size and amount of prostate.

Many urologists treat patients with prostate cancer by suppressing testosterone and increasing estrogen. Drugs that control estrogen tend to also reduce the beneficial form of estrogen and are not sufficient to clear estrogen (16aOHE, 4OHE). In my opinion, the metabolism and purification of additional estrogen should be emphasized and can be done with natural phyto-chemical herbs, from vegetable extracts that target bad estrogen, while restoring good forms of estrogen and testosterone.

Diindolylmethane (DIM), which comes from broccoli, cauliflower, Kale, Bok, Choy, Napa cabbage and Brussels cabbage, promotes beneficial estrogen metabolism. DIM increases 'good' estrogen, which subsequently causes SHBG to bind, thereby increasing free testosterone levels while dramatically lowering 'bad' estrogen. DIM, together with Chrysin (from passion flower), (Passiflora incarnata), in liposome cream, purifies estrogen. It is very useful for men on testosterone replacement therapy or for women on estrogen replacement therapy.

The DIM-Chrysin combination lowered the risk of prostate cancer by up to 41% in men. They also reduce the risk of breast cancer and cervical cancer, in women. Indole-3-carbinol (I3C) is another vegetable extract that is beneficial in estrogen metabolism. Indole-3-carbinol works well if there is enough hydrochloric acid in the stomach.

Calcium-D-Glucarate or its metabolite, D-Glucuronolactone, can help detoxify estrogen. Apples and other fruits and vegetables, have a small amount. As a supplement, Calcium-D-Glucarate has a positive effect on reducing cancer side effects.

Natural diets and herbs, may prove safer and more cost effective than some prescription drugs that block aromotase. Natural estrogen clearing methods appear to cause less body inflammation and less free radical damage, reducing the toxic effects of estrone metabolites while maintaining the benefits of 'good' estradiol and 2-hydroxyestrone.

I encourage physicians to add these essential ingredients to their patients' diets and hormone regimens.

Fresh food

A diet high in vegetables and fruits, with concentrated herbal extracts, in combination with intense exercise programs, can help you manage bad estrogen. Many specialty chemicals are found naturally in raw cream vegetables, such as broccoli, kale, cabbage, Brussels cabbage, cabbage, Bok, Choy, Napa cabbage, radish, rutabaga, mustard and kohlrabi. However, up to 2 lbs. from raw cross-fruits daily, it is necessary to achieve the benefits of clearing estrogen. I recommend using a grinder (not a juicer or a juicer, because you want to keep the fiber healthy) and combine the raw cross vegetables with some delicious fiber, such as berries or pears. Vegetables, such as peppers and bell peppers, rich in vitamin C, reduce the aromatase enzyme responsible for converting too much estrogen from testosterone. Use water from the juice as your base, along with frozen fruits and vegetables, to give the drink a "smoothie" texture. Grinders usually come with 48 to 60 ounces pitchers, which will provide almost 2-4 pounds of raw vegetable oil in your drink throughout your day.

Extra

As suggested, most people should supplement their diet by concentrating on DIM (diindolylmethane), Chrysin, D-Glucuronolactone, and other important natural phyto chemicals. Grapefruit juice and grapefruit juice should be avoided, as they can hinder the liver's ability to break down estrogen. Supplements containing broccoli and cauliflower extracts can stimulate excess estrogen metabolism, while red wine extract and resveratrol, may enhance P450's liver function, to help eliminate excess estrogen.

Di-methyl-glycine (DMG) is a methyl group donor that helps detoxify. It helps the liver to purify harmful estrogen and lactic acid, after exercise. DMG has been reported to increase sexual function, erection capacity and oxidize blood to the genitals. Improved mental function and anti-aging benefits have also been reported with DMG.

Phyto-estrogen in soybeans and wild boars, should also be considered. Meat and animal products are associated with increased stroke and dementia. I believe that soy products and vegetables (not meat and animal products), be prudent!

DHT study

DHT needs to be balanced with testosterone. Dr. Edmond De Vroey, founder of the Longevity Institute, has used DHT gels for over 20 years to maintain prostate health using DHT topical gels. Directly involved in the skin, DHT does not turn into estrogen. In contrast, topically applied DHT decreases estrogen levels.

Dr Ron Rothenberg, Professor of Medicine at the University of California / San Diego, agrees with me that the sexual benefits and increased strength of DHT are not called testosterone, or testosterone combined with estrogen metabolizing herbs.

In a clinical study by Dr. Money and colleagues, DHT restored androgen levels, while lowering estradiol levels, within 14 days. Estradiol is considered the most dominant estrogen.

Dr. Eugene Shippen conducted a meta-analysis, showing that testosterone and DHT can actually protect the prostate.

Dr. Schaison has shown that patients with reduced gonad function become more virile, develop more muscle mass and improve sexual function, with DHT topical gels.

Using DHT Gel for 2 years, Dr. De Lignieres reports that men, aged 55 to 70, increase sexual function and reduce prostate size by an average of 15%.

DHT requires prescriptions and is usually only available in Europe, but we use all natural creams with bioidentical hormones such as those used under the scrotum, which are used in the morning after a shower. A well-known fact is that scrotal tissue has enzymes in the skin that can increase DHT production in androgen delivery. This cream with natural androgen enables rapid absorption of testosterone into adolescence and conversion to DHT to help reduce estrogen.

Like all androgen replacement therapies, signs of excessive DHT levels, such as oily skin, acne, excessive hair growth, aggression, or over-sexuality, should be monitored.

A University of Southern California study found that 8 out of 27 men took Finasteride for prostate enlargement, developing a tumor within a year, even though the drug reduced DHT by 67%. It is my view that unrecognized estrogen levels in the prostate can be a problem, not DHT. Although Finasteride lowers DHT, it can cause impotence. On the other hand, beta sitosterol in saw palmetto may be more effective in restoring urine flow, without impotence. Beta Sitosterol improves DHT metabolism and androgen receptor binding, while Finasteride does not. Although Finasteride can reduce DHT in the prostate by up to 80%, it only reduces the size of the prostate by about 20%. About 60-65% of men get no improvement with Finasteride! Over 5% of Finasteride users experience decreased libido, impotence, and ejaculation disorders.

It is important to note that purifying all estrogen from adult men is not good! The purpose of the estrogen reduction program is to achieve the optimum level of male hormone balance. When "bad" estrogen is elevated, they don't allow the hormones of your youth, your estrogen, testosterone, human growth hormone, DHEA, etc., to be in the right level, potentially leading to disease and premature aging and disability.
